Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 7, has won the Best Actress award at the Edo International Film Festival for her role in the movie Osato.
The festival, which took place from November 30 to December 3, 2023, rewarded creativity and talent in various categories.
The festival-themed Edo To The World had over 1,500 films from 94 countries, 200 movie screenings.

It was hosted by actors, Rex Nosa and Linda Osifo at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, Benin City, Edo State.
The Edo International Film Festival selected 486 films out of over 3000 submissions for its second edition.
Osato was produced by Charles Uwagbai and Etinosa Idemudia.

Best Female Actress: Josephina ‘Phyna’ Otabor in Osato

Best International Film: Obito
Best International Short Film + $5,000 Cash Prize: Edeleyo
Best Feature Film + $10,000 Cash Prize: Ifediche
Also, Sam Loco Efe was honored posthumously.
