Yet again, me of the Sokoto state police command have buckled up, as they fight against crime in the state.

The force has confirmed the arrest of two suspects, identified as Austin Anthony, 44, and Mansur Abubakar, 32 for an alleged case of car theft in the state.

According to the state police spokesperson, ASP Ahmed Rufai,  a total of 3 vehicles were recovered from the suspects.

In a statement released yesterday, December 9, the spokesperson said;

On the 05/12/2024 at about 0600hrs a Complaint of car theft was reported by one Adamu Muhammad and Kabiru Shehu all ‘M’ of Badon Barade Area Sokoto that on the same date at about 0400hrs their Motor vehicles Corolla LE Ash colour and Pontiac Vibe were stolen,” the statement read.

“On receipt of the information Policemen attached of Striking Force Unit of the Command swift into action and alerted the Police check point along Birnin-Kebbi Road where one of the Stolen vehicles was found driven by one of the Suspects at Bodinga town heading to Birnin-Kebbi road.” 

Abubakar further enjoined people to be cautious, and report any suspicious activities to the Command Emergency GSM phone number: 08032345167.
