  • Men of the Adamawa state police command have confirmed the arrest of two notorious teenage robbers.

  • The duo, who are both aged 18 are said to be members of a popular criminal gang

The Adamawa state police command have confirmed the arrest of two teenagers, after being on the police wanted list for a long time.

The duo are identified as Bagir Magaji Muhammad from Layin Chinko and Zaradeen Hadi from Sohon Kasuwa in Yola North, and the are both 18 years old.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the suspects, who are said to be members of the infamous gang, “Shila Boys” were arrested following a complaint lodged by one Habiba Umar, who was robbed of her phone on Monday, November 4.

According to reports from the police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, a manhunt was launched, and the suspects were successfully tracked down.

The spokesperson also said that the stolen device was recovered, along with a knife and a horn used during the crime.

Nguroje further added that the arrest is a major breakthrough in the command’s efforts in reducing local crimes, also adding that the had been on the police wanted list for comes such as robbery and other vices.
