Police Arrest 6 ‘One Chance’ Robbers, Recovers Exhibits

Operatives of the Police Command, FCT have apprehended six suspects of a ‘one Chance’ armed robbery syndicate.

The suspects, identified as Abubakar Adams, Ismail Salisu, Yusuf Bello, Nasiru Saidi, Sani Usman and Ibrahim Kasa were arrested by the command attached to Utako divisional headquarters, on June 16, 2024, following credible intelligence.

It was gathered that the suspects specialized in attacking unsuspecting residents who board their vehicle or tricycle, robbing them of their valuables and pushing them off the moving vehicle or tricycle.

Many of the victims reported the case to the police station, which resulted to the police officers springing into action.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh said some of the weapons recovered from them include cutlasses, knives, and a phone believed to have been stolen from a victim.

Adeh said;

‘’While Investigation is still ongoing, the commissioner of police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh psc, mni, reaffirms the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all and sundry. He also urges the populace to be vigilant and take advantage of the police emergency lines in reporting suspicious activities through: 08032003913, 08028940883, 08061581938, and 07057337653 PCB: 09022222352, CRU: 08107314192.”
