The Nigeria Police have reaffirmed their commitment to staying ahead of criminals through intelligence-led policing, inter-agency collaboration, and robust community engagement.
The National Public Relations Officer of the Force, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated in a press release that personnel arrested eight high-profile suspects and recovered firearms, ammunition, and fabricated weapons in Kaduna State.

He noted that in Kaduna, following the abduction of one Hussaini Ibrahim from Jagindi Tasha Village, Jema’a Local Government Area, operatives launched a coordinated rescue operation which successfully yielded results when the abductors abandoned the victim in a nearby forest.
Investigations subsequently led to the arrest of four suspects: Umar Yusuf Jabiri of Jagindi Tasha, Buhari Muhammad, also known as “General” of Bayya Village, Ahmadu Nasiru of Gidan Waya, and Zakari Saleh, who were directly linked to the abduction.
Adejobi added that items recovered included one AK-47 rifle and two locally fabricated AK-47 rifles. He urged citizens to remain vigilant, provide timely information, and support the police in their efforts to combat crime and maintain law and order.
Security Operatives Arrest Man for Vandalizing Abandoned Vehicles in Benin City
Operatives of the Edo State Security Corps (ESSC) have arrested a middle-aged man, identified simply as Adamu, for allegedly vandalizing old vehicles belonging to the Edo Line Transport Company in Benin City.
It was gathered that the suspect was caught at the scene of the crime on the premises of the former transport company located on James Watt Road.
