The Delta State Police Command has arrested a mortuary attendant in Oghara part of the state, over the missing corpse of a 58-years-old woman, Patience Amughoro.

The deceased had died after a brief illness late last year, as her body was deposited at a morgue managed by a private hospital in Oghara, Delta.

On February 20, Saturday, the deceased family had arrived at the mortuary to take the body but were however stunned when the mortuary attendant presented another body instead of hers.

The mortuary attendant was arrested after the family reported the matter to the police.

Also confirming the incident, the Delta Police Command spokesperson, DSP Onome Onovaakpoyeya, said the mortuary attendant is in detention as further investigation have commenced on the matter.
