A pastor of a Pentecostal church has been arrested by the police for allegedly strangling his wife to death.
It was reported that the pastor, identified as Pastor Chris Simon Amadi, of Shalom Mercy Ministry was said to have stormed his wife’s school, and began to chase away pupils who are still owing their school fees.
The wife, on getting the information via phone calls from the worried parents, confronted her husband at home over his actions, and he in turn started beating her.

The pastor was alleged to have beaten and strangulated his wife till she lost consciousness, before rushing her to a nearby clinic when she was confirmed dead.

Speaking to the newsmen, the deceased’s elder brother said she was referred to UPTH to be sure of her demise, but instead, he, the pastor, rushed her back to the house and began packing his properties before he was caught.
The deceased brother also said that his sister had been countlessly abused in her marriage before her demise, but she had refused to walk out of the marriage.
