A 24-year-old suspected drug baron, Larry Onifon has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command’s Crack Surveillance team in Eku, Ethiope-East Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect was arrested during a raid on black spots by the police, while other suspects fled the scene.

The arrested drug baron claimed to be a fashion designer.

The police also recovered 89 wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, 40 packets of 100mg Tramadol, four sachets of Swinol, three containers of loud, 55 wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine from the arrested suspect.

Th State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by DSP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer.

According to the police: “The suspect, Larry Onifon, also stated that the cartel popularly called OBJ cartel is owned by one of the fleeing suspects named OBJ.

“He said, “Suspect is in custody while a manhunt for the other fleeing suspects is ongoing.
