Police Arrest Two Suspected Armed Robbers in Jigawa | Daily Report Nigeria

Operatives of the police force in Jigawa State have arrested two suspected armed robbers in the state.

The suspects, identified as Ibrahim Ruwa, 25, and Halilu M Dabo, 22 were arrested at Dangana Village in the Guri Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam said the suspects were apprehended after they carried out a series of operations around the area.

“On the 08/02/2022 and 09/02/2022 at about 20:00hrs, one Wakili Ibrahim and Usaini Shu’aibu all of Guri township lodged a direct complaint at the station that, while working at Dagana village, the hoodlums attacked them and asked for money.

“When they discovered that the victims had no money, they beat them with sticks and wounded them on their heads and bodies.

 

“Similarly, on the same date, one Idi Garba and Ya’u Ado all of Kumsa village Birniwa LGA who while guarding a tomato farm located at Dagana village were attacked by the same hoodlums with sticks, as a result, they sustained injuries of various degrees.

“The criminals further forcefully took their wives to a nearby bush and raped them,” he said.

 

Shiisu said the victims were taken to Guri Primary Healthcare treated and discharged, he also added that the investigation is ongoing at State CID Dutse
