Police Bust Kidnappers’ Hideout In Nasarawa, Rescue Three Victims

Men of the Nasarawa police command have clapped back at kidnapping and banditry, as they invade a bandits handout.

According to reports, the police raided the hideout, which was located in Karu Local Government Area of the state, while also rescuing three victims in the process.

 

Confirming the operation in a statement released today, Sunday, December 29, the spokesperson of the state command, DSP Ramhan Nansel said;

 

Police operatives attached to the Gitata Division in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have raided the kidnappers’ hideout and rescued the trio of Abdulsalam Shuaibu, Sani Shuaibu and Blessing Okorie,” 

“This is consequent upon information that a Volkswagen Sharon vehicle with three occupants travelling along the Kaduna-Keffi highway was attacked, and the victims whisked away to an unknown destination.

 

“Upon receipt of the information, the Divisional Police Officer in the area, SP Zaks Wambai, swiftly mobilised his men to the scene and combed the vicinity.

“Consequently, the kidnapper’s hideout was burst, and they were dislodged, paving the way for the rescue of the victims unhurt.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, in a comment, lauded the officers for a job well done and urged them to sustain the onslaught against criminals.”
