Police Confirm Abduction of Senior Nursing Officer in Ogun | Daily Report Nigeria

A senior nursing officer at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, has been abducted by suspected kidnappers.

Elizabeth Uruakpa was taken by armed men who blocked her Honda CRV with their unregistered Red Toyota Camry and sped off with her, according to the police.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident and stated that efforts are being made to ensure her safe release.

Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said:

A distress call was received at approximately 1710hrs that Elizabeth Uruakpa was abducted by young armed men.

Furthermore, the police have mobilized a team to search for Uruakpa and are working with the Officer in Charge of Anti-Kidnapping to gather clues and track the kidnappers’ movements.

In a statement, the Ogun State Police Command said, “We are doing everything possible to ensure that Elizabeth Uruakpa is released unhurt. We urge anyone with information about the kidnapping to contact us immediately.”

The incident which occurred near the new market in Ilishan, is the latest in a series of kidnappings in Ogun State, and the police are working to address the growing concern about insecurity in the region.
