The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has denied any knowledge of the alleged disappearance of ₦180 million from the account of a Non-Governmental Organisation owned by social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

According to the FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, “The FCT Police Command is not aware of any case involving VDM’s missing funds and is not conducting any investigation into it. The individual in question should be contacted to clarify where the matter was reported, as there is no record of such a case with the FCT Police Command.”

This denial comes after VDM claimed in an Instagram video that ₦180 million had been transferred from the NGO’s account to an unknown account, leaving only ₦20 million.

He also stated that a suspect had been arrested and the account had been placed on Post No Debit.

However, the FCT Police Command’s denial has raised questions about the credibility of VDM’s explanation.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, could not be reached for comment as calls to his line went unanswered.
