Seun Kuti, son of the legendary Afrobeat musician, Fela Kuti has been denied bail by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti.
The police had attempted to coerce him into writing a statement that would implicate him in an alleged assault on a police officer, but his lawyer, Adeyinka Olunide-Fusika, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, requested his release on bail.
However, this request was denied under the pretext that the investigation was ongoing.
