Men of the Katsina police command have rescued a victim from the hands of her kidnapper.
Reports reaching Daily Report Nigeria shows that a woman was rescued after the police force fooled a kidnap attempt in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina state.

Confirming the incident in a statement released to newsmen on Thursday, August 29, the spokesperson of the command, ASP Abubakar Aliyu said;
“In a sustained onslaught against acts of kidnapping and banditry in the state, the command, under the able leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Katsina Command, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, psc+, has succeeded in foiling a bandit attack on Faru village, Jibia LGA, Katsina state,”
Today, 29th August, 2024, at about 0115hrs, a distress call was received at the Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters on a bandits attack on Faru village, Jibia LGA, kidnapping one (1) person.
“Instantaneously, the DPO Jibia mobilized a joint team of operatives in collaboration with members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), members of the Vigilante, and responded to the scene.
“The team valorously engaged the assailants in a gun duel, successfully rescued the kidnapped victim unhurt, and foiled the attack as the assailants fled the scene with various degrees of bullet injuries.
“Efforts are being intensified with a view of arresting the fleeing suspects.”
The Commissioner of Police, who commended the efforts and professionalism of the police force also charged officers to work more on the prevention of all criminal activities in the state.
