Police Nab 15 Agents Planning to Hack 2023 Election Results | Daily Report Nigeria

A minimum of 15 agents planning to hack 2023 election results have been nabbed by police operatives in Katsina state.

According to Katsina Police Command, the 15 agents were planning to hack into the presidential poll results when they were arrested and paraded on Friday evening.

Spokesman for the commabd, SP Gambo Isa said the suspect were caught with several electronic gadgets, laptop computers and tools.

He said:

”Police are conducting investigations and the outcome will be made clear to everybody.

“We don’t want to jump the gun. We invited experts and they are doing their work to see the system to ascertain actually what is in the place because of its sensitivity.”

We’ll declare election results quickly – INEC

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has assured Nigerians that results for the presidential and national assembly polls will be declared quickly.

Miahmood stated this during a media briefing on Friday evening in Abuja.

The INEC Chairman assured that the cash crunch caused by the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria will noy affect the outcome of the polls.
