On April 27, 2024, the operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command nabbed two female suspects, Kulu Dogonyaro and Elizabeth Ojah, for allegedly trafficking five children from Sokoto State.

The suspects were intercepted by FCT police operatives at Kagini junction, Abuja, while suspiciously conveying the children into the city.

According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, the Sokoto State Police Command had initially been pursuing the suspects. However, the FCT police operatives arrested them after they attempted to flee.

Adeh made the disclosure on Wednesday in a statement on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh.
