The Katsina State Police has taken into custody two men identified as Faisal Lawal and Abba Nasiru, for allegedly raping and killing their neighbours wife.

The Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed that the two men who are twenty years old each, are from Kakumi village in Baure Local Government Area of Katsina State and were alleged to have raped and murdered a housewife in the village.
He stated that the duo had scaled the fence of the house of one of their neighbours, Yunusa Adamu on May 11, 2020, about 1am and allegedly raped his wife, Hajiya Adamu.

The Command’s spokesman said, “On the 11th of May 2020 during the Ramadan, and about 1am, the duo Faisal Lawal, 20 and Abba Nasiru, 20 scaled the fence of the house of one Yunusa Adamu, entered his house and forcefully had carnal knowledge of his wife. Having recognized that the woman recognized them, they now slaughtered her like a ram.”
The clothes Lawal wore during the incident were recovered with bloodstains while he was also said to be jumpy when the deceased was buried.
The deceased handset was also recovered from Nasiru the police revealed.
SP Gambo Isah stated that the two men who were already in police custody would face the charges for rape and culpable homicide.
