Police nab two suspects in Ogun for burglary, electric wire theft | Daily Report Nigeria

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspects for alleged theft and recovered stolen items in separate incidents.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, in a statement on Tuesday, disclosed that operatives from the Idanyin Division apprehended one Sadiq Adebayo for allegedly stealing burglary proofs from an uncompleted building in the Imutu Ayanre community.

The chairman of the Imutu Ayanre community, Yekinni Wasiu, reported the incident to the police on December 29, 2024, stating that Adebayo was caught in the act of dismantling the burglary proof of a neighbour’s uncompleted building.

During interrogation, Adebayo confessed that he had stolen similar items on multiple occasions, selling them to one Abdullahi Sulaimon, a scrap dealer.
