Police Officers Slump During Inauguration Parade

During the inauguration ceremony of the new governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, two male police officers, unfortunately slumped at the parade ground.

The officers were immediately moved out of the stadium for emergency medical checks and were being treated in a makeshift clinic located on the premises of the stadium.

According to some of the red cross officials who helped in conveying the policemen to the clinic, the officers slumped as a result of stress, exhaustion, and tiredness.

However, the medical personnel at the clinic have assured that the affected police were all responding to treatment and will soon be on their feet.

A top government official who spoke with reporters in confidence said:

“The problem is that the majority of the policemen and other paramilitary on the parade ground did not eat before coming.”

The policemen were said to have arrived at the venue of the inauguration as early as 7 am.
