The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has ordered an extensive investigation into a viral video accusing a hotel located in Irete, in Owerri West Local Government Area, of being used as a base for kidnapping and organ harvesting.
The shocking claims surfaced early Friday when a video began circulating online, displaying footage of the hotel and a picture of the hotel owner, alleging that unsuspecting guests who lodge there are kidnapped and their organs harvested. The narrator in the video warned the public to avoid the hotel and claimed that similar activities were taking place elsewhere.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, the commissioner has invited the hotel owner, identified as Allwell Onyedikachi Mmaduabuchi, for questioning. The police are also searching for the young man behind the viral video so he can provide concrete evidence to support the allegations.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has ordered an in-depth investigation into the viral video in which a yet-to-be-identified young man accused the owner of H&C Hotel in Irete of being involved in kidnapping and organ harvesting,” the statement read.
Okoye added that the police will not treat the matter casually and will ensure the public is informed once the investigation concludes.
Residents have been urged to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified claims, as the police continue to work on establishing the authenticity of the viral allegation.

“The Command remains steadfast in upholding the rule of law, ensuring justice without fear or favour, and maintaining public confidence,” Okoye assured.
