A police officer has been apprehended after reportedly shooting his father to death in Borno State.

According to reports, the suspect, identified as Sunday Wadzani reportedly shot his father on Sunday, July 21st behind the state police command headquarters in Maiduguri, Borno State.

A document filed on the incident read,

“A police sergeant by the name Sgt. Sunday Wadzani serving in Borno state command today 21st July 2024 this evening at about 1620hrs shot his father Rtd. Asp Wadzani Ntasiri seven times after a minor feud at Maiduguri,”

Wadzani has been arrested and is currently in custody at GRA Police Station, a security source told DailyTrust.
