A 24-year-old generator engineer identified as Idris Jagun, was on Sunday killed by a stray bullet fired by a policeman.
The incident happened at Oregun, in the Ikeja area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that some people were fighting on Oregun Road late hours on Sunday when a police patrol van arrived at the scene.

Jagun was reportedly shot in the thigh by a bullet that was fired by a yet-to-be-identified policeman, who allegedly shot into the crowd while attempting to disperse the crowd.

Jagun was said to have been rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said he could not provide further details about the incident.
“Yes, we are aware of the incident. I don’t have details yet,” the PPRO simply said.
