The Federal Capital Police Command has said it has forwarded the report on the autopsy conducted on late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu to the Director of Public Prosecution for vetting and possible prosecution.

She called for patience from the general public, asking that they trust the police in the process, saying due diligence would be observed in the pursuit of justice with regards to the case.

The police image maker added that updates on the issue would be communicated to the general public subsequently.

Meanwhile, the Command had on transferred the case to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, following tbe release of the autopsy result.

The case was later transferred from the Lugbe Police Division to the State Criminal Investigation Department a day after.

“The case is no longer with us. It is now with the DPP in the office of the Attorney General,” Adeh had said.

Another source said that the police was awaiting legal counsel on the next line of action prior to Tuesday’s announcement.

The death of the angelic-voiced gospel singer, Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu left Nigerians demanding for justice when reports suggested she had suffered high levels of domestic violence.

Her husband, Peter Nwachukwu was subsequently arrested on April 10, as he was linked to the cause his wife’s death.
