The Nigeria Police Force has called on British national, Andrew Wynne, to surrender himself and face the law. Wynne was declared wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s administration and has been in hiding since.

Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated that Wynne has been contacted several times and has refused to show up, even after his bookshop was invaded. Adejobi dared Wynne to come out of hiding and face the wrath of the law like his accomplices, who have already been arraigned in court.

“We have established offences against him, and we have declared him wanted. His accomplices have been charged in court. Let him come out and face the law,” Adejobi said.

Adejobi also rejected Wynne’s suggestion of a Zoom interrogation, stating that the gravity of the allegations preferred against him requires a physical presence.

“Let him come. I am still calling him again. Let him come. Suppose he’s a good man. If he is a genuine businessman in Nigeria, let Andrew Wynne report to the police so that he can come and clear some grey areas,” Adejobi said.
