An operative of the Nigerian Police Force has stabbed his colleague to death during a fight in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.
While details of the incident are still sketchy, an eyewitness told Daily Report Nigeria that the duo had engaged in a heated quarrel prior to the sad incident.
“We tried to separate them during the argument, to prevent them from fighting, but they refused.

“I and my friends took the deceased in our car to his house just to stop them from fighting. We were called less than 30 minutes after dropping him off that he has been stabbed to death,” the source said.
The two officers were at a marriage reception when the argument sparked off with both officers issuing threats to one another.
The deceased, identified as Sergeant Yerin Sapele was rushed to the hospital after the stabbing, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
His body has since been deposited at a morgue in the Bayelsan capital city.
