VIDEO: Rep Member Julius Pondi Commissions N100m Ultra-Modern Town Hall in Burutu

The lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representative, Hon Julius Pondi on Saturday, commissioned an ultra-modern town hall at Burutu, headquarters of Burutu local government area.

The project was unveiled and handed over to the leadership of Burutu Community led by Comrade Ebizimor Herman Ekisah.

The edifice was handed over with a 15 KWA power generating set, 350 plastic chairs, 8 executive chairs,18 ceiling fans, two offices, 1 conference table, two executive tables, four visitors chairs, six air conditioners, four rechargeable public addressing set with microphone, and a projector, -all valued at N100 million.

The two-term lawmaker said the need to provide a conducive environment for deliberations informed his decision to kickstart the project.

“I saw that there was no befitting town hall for the community to deliberate on issues, and that’s why I committed a N100 million to this project. They should enjoy it.

Speaking with our correspondent, Pondi charged that the project be maintained and put into good use by the community.

Chairman Burutu community, Ebizimor Ekisah, commended the project, promising that the structure will be well maintained and put into adequate use.

Dignitaries and community members at the event commended Julius Pondi for erected a people-oriented project such as this.
