The lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Julius Pondi is set to empower more than 350 constituents.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the the empowerment program forms a part of activities lined up Pondi’s thanksgiving following his victories at the 2023 election.
The thanksgiving is billed to hold on Sunday December 17 at the Church of God Mission, Sokebolou, Pondi’s hometown.
Beneficiaries will part woth starter packs ranging from motorcycles, hairdressing kits, sewing machines, generators and grinding machines.

Notable dignitaries including governors and serving members of the 10th National Assembly are expected to join Pondi at the ceremony.

Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate was declared winner of the February 25 poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of Dr. Agbeotu Emibra of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His victory was upheld by both the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal and the Appeal Court.
The feat makes him the first candidate to be elected to serve three consecutive terms for the constituency.
