The Emir of Kofa, Alhaji Nasiru Adamu, is dead.
Alhaji Adamu died on Sunday, May 1, and has been buried according to Islamic rites.

The cause of his death, as well as age, cannot be determined as of the time of publishing this report.
Reacting to the Emir’s demise, a former member of the House of Representatives, Jubril Abdulmumin, wrote on his verified Facebook page:
“Earlier today, we lost a good man, Sarkin Kofa (The Chief of my home town Kofa, Kano). He was laid to rest this afternoon in Kofa, Bebeji Kano.
Allah SWT Ya jikan Mai Kofa da rahama amin Ya Rabbi.”
Abdulmumin, alongside other sons of Kofa town, was present at the Janāzah of Alhaji Adamu on Sunday afternoon.
