A Nigerian businessman has kicked the bucket after flying into Nigeria for a bussines meeting.
The man, identified as Robert Onyejekwe, who was said said to be an oil and gas magnet lived in Sugar Land, Houston, Texas, and was in town for some bussines meetings, and has taken excuse to retire to his room for a short rest.
He was found dead in his hotel room in Ikoyi, Lagos on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Speaking on the incident, The Street Journal reported that Robert, who died at age 57, was said to have come to Nigeria with plans to fully take over an oil and gas company he had bought years ago after noticing some shafy dealing by those he put in charge.

Part of Robert achievements was – he was the President Bits and Drilling Tools, a product line with executive leadership, global strategy, technology portfolio and business management of one of the fastest growing business units in Schlumberger.
He was also the Global Director, Sales and Commercial for the Reservoir and Infrastructure group for Schlumberger
His wife and a family friend are said to be on their way to Lagos to return his corpse to Houston for burial.
