Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has expressed his disappointment after meeting with Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, during a visit to Edo State over the weekend.
Obi was in Benin to support the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, while Portable was in town for a performance.
In a widely shared video, Zazu is seen respectfully greeting Obi beside his car. However, in a separate clip, the singer voiced his frustration, stating that Obi did not offer him any money.

Comparing the encounter with Obi to a hypothetical meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Portable remarked to his team: “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
