Amid ongoing economic challenges in Nigeria, controversial singer Portable has dismissed the need for the planned nationwide protest. According to DAILY POST, many Nigerians are organizing protests from August 1 to 10, 2024, due to the rising cost of living under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In an Instagram story on Thursday, Portable argued that protesting is unnecessary and suggested that those planning to protest are likely jobless. He warned against asking him to perform at the protests, attributing the situation to laziness.

“Anyone who asks me to perform during the protest should consider joining it themselves,” Portable said. “If you’re serious about your work, you wouldn’t join the protest. Focus on your own hustle rather than fighting for Nigeria.”

He continued, “Nigeria is fine; it’s you who isn’t. There’s money to be made if you hustle and make connections. Stop blaming others for your situation and work harder for yourself.”
