President Bola Tinubu has stated that poverty is not something to be ashamed of, but rather something that should be deemed unacceptable.

Tinubu made the statement in his address at the closing ceremony of a three-day cabinet retreat, held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

He expressed his unwavering belief that Nigerians can overcome poverty.

The President urged members of his cabinet and other top management staff of the civil service to join forces, change the prevailing narrative of the country, and usher in a new era of economic prosperity.
