The National Cybercrime Centre of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested prankster Zfancy in Abuja for his threatening video pranks.

In a statement on Thursday, Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said Zfancy was apprehended at an apartment in the Wuye area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The arrest came after accusatory videos surfaced on social media, alleging that Zfancy had committed serious crimes, including rape.

According to Adejobi, these videos have caused significant alarm among social media users. Zfancy claimed the videos were scripted as part of his attempt to regain attention after a break. However, Adejobi emphasized that such actions have serious implications and cannot be dismissed lightly.

He reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to public safety and accountability, warning pranksters and content creators to avoid actions that could threaten public security and disturb the peace.

Adejobi also urged the public to remain calm as the police proceed with the necessary legal actions in this case.
