The Premier League 2025/26 season has officially kicked off after the league held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, June 4.
All 20 teams including the newly promoted Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland are now officially part of England’s top division.

Every club has been added to the Premier League’s share register, complete with a framed certificate to mark the milestone.
> “A new share certificate for each promoted club has been signed by Premier League directors and company secretary,” the League confirmed.
Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton have handed back their Premier League share certificates, officially ending their time in the top tier.
> “The three relegated clubs have transferred back their share certificates, and the Premier League Board has confirmed their cancellation,” the League stated.
Football followers won’t have to wait long for the schedule: the full Premier League 2025/26 season fixtures arrive on Wednesday, June 18 at 09:00 BST.
