President Buhari Congratulates new Ata Igala on His Inauguration

President Muhammadu Buhari joined the government and people of Kogi State in congratulating His Royal Majesty, Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, on his appointment as Ata Igala.

The president expressed optimism that the paramount ruler would bring a wealth of experience to the throne of his fathers in a statement issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina.

The statement reads, “President Buhari congratulates the Kogi State Traditional Council, kingmakers, sons, and daughters of the Igala nation on the historic event, which highlights the people’s rich culture and tradition.”

“As His Royal Majesty ascends the throne, the President urges dedication to his people’s growth and well-being, as well as support for the government in promoting peace, unity, and progress, particularly in civic responsibilities.”

“President Buhari prays that Almighty God will guide the royal father in carrying out his responsibilities, particularly in instilling strong moral values and respect among the youth.”
