Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Oluoma has advised Christians to give to the needy instead of the church.

While preaching to his congregant about charity and caring for the needy, Oluoma said it is better to give in some circumstances.

This, according to him, does not mean giving to the church is bad or less important.

Throwing light on the topic, he said it is better to save a life with one’s tithe on the way to church than to give it to the pastor as an offering.

After doing this, one could refund it to the church if possible or just thank God if one can’t.

Though this is against some pastors, still, prioritizing charity is equal to giving to the church and there’s nothing wrong if you can do both, he added.
