A private jet carrying 11 Nigerians has crash-landed at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, causing panic among airport workers and passengers. The aircraft, operated by Flybird Airlines, was en route from Abuja to Kano when it made an emergency landing on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m., shortly after the private jet touched down at the Kano airport. Eyewitnesses described tense moments as airport officials and emergency responders rushed to the scene.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft had 11 people on board, including three crew members. Passengers were quickly evacuated from the jet as a safety precaution.

“There was fear at first, but the response was very fast. Everyone was brought out safely,” an airport official said.
Authorities later confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were recorded in the crash-landing. Emergency services immediately secured the runway to prevent further risks and disruption to airport operations.
Officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and aviation safety agencies have launched an investigation to determine what caused the aircraft to crash-land. The aviation community has since expressed concern, calling for a thorough safety review.
“All passengers were evacuated safely, and there were no casualties. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident,” an aiport official confirmed.
