The petition, titled, ‘A case of conspiracy, cybercrime, criminal defamation using the Internet, suspected murder, cyberstalking and conduct against Bishop Ufuoma Prince, Pastor Johnmark Ighosotu and others’, read in part;
“One Pastor Johnmark Ighosotu of God’s Delight Gospel Assembly connived with one Bishop Ufuoma Prince and Apostle Dr C. Kassy, in a bid to concoct confessions and miracles maliciously, and falsely use on the Internet to blackmail me and the entire membership of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry.
“The allegations of cannibalism, cultism, killing of innocent human beings and drinking of their blood as thrown up in the trending video are not issues that should be treated lightly by the law and its enforcement agencies but should be thoroughly investigated with the level of dispatch it deserves.
“There has never been any form of subsisting relationship between me and Apostle Johnmark Ighosotu as to warrant the level of blackmail and organised character assassination currently playing out.”
Confirming the petition on Thursday, the Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe said efforts were being made to arrest the characters in the video.
Edafe said, “The command is aware of the petition over alleged cyberstalking, defamation and others; the command is trailing the perpetrators.
“The police are making frantic efforts to arrest the perpetrators of the viral video with a view to bringing them to justice.”
