PSG Fans’ Celebration which started as a pure joy quickly spiraled into chaos after the Paris mercilessly beat Inter Milan 5–0 in the UEFA Champions League final held in Munich.

The triumph being the club’s most memorable moments, was celebrated passionately across France.

However, some of those celebrations took a dark turn.

PSG Fans’ Celebration in Paris and Beyond

According to authorities, two people passed away amid the raucous celebrations.

A man on a scooter in Paris was hit by a car in the 15th arrondissement, which led to his death.

The fatal accident took place only a few kilometres from the Champs-Elysées, where thousands of people had gathered.

Also, at a local celebration in the southwest town of Dax, a 17-year-old teenager was fatally stabbed.

Though it happened during the festivities, local prosecutors clarified that it remains unclear whether the stabbing was directly linked to the football celebrations.

Meanwhile, the suspect reportedly fled the scene and is currently at large.

PSG Fans' Celebration Turns Chaos

Paris’s Champs-Elysées served as the focal point of the festivities, but tension soon developed there.

Car horns blared, fireworks lit up the sky, and fans flooded the streets to sing and cheer.

However, as violence broke out between police and spectators, the atmosphere took a turn.

A startling 491 arrests were made in Paris alone, according to the French Interior Ministry.

Across the country, 559 individuals were detained, with disturbances reported in multiple cities.

Widespread Damage: Fires, Injuries, and Chaos

The night saw 692 fires reported across France, including 264 vehicles that were torched.

Emergency services were overwhelmed as clashes spread.

Among the injured were 18 police officers in Paris, three more outside the capital, and seven firefighters.

Moreso, 192 bystanders were also injured in the course of the street turmoil.

A Celebration Gone Too Far

While PSG’s victory over Inter Milan brought joy to fans, the aftermath revealed a troubling side of football euphoria.

What should have been a moment of national pride ended in arrests, injuries, and the loss of two lives.
