Bayelsa State’s Education Commissioner, Dr Gentle Emelah, conducted a surprise visit to Community Primary School 1 & 2 in Angalabiri, Sagbama LGA, as part of his routine inspections.

Upon arrival, he was dismayed to find students washing cassava in the school premises during school hours.

The pupils revealed that they had not received any academic instruction that day and were instead instructed by their teachers to harvest cassava for them.
