Teams That Have Qualified for Round 16 in Qatar 2022

As the group stages wound up with few teams yet to play their final group stage matches teams at the world cup are working hard to qualify for the last 16.

Here is a look at the seven teams who have qualified for the round of 16 at Qatar 2022, with eight spots still yet to be filled.

The group A leaders Netherlands started the World Cup well with a respectable four points from tricky games with Senegal and Ecuador but they consolidated their qualification against already-eliminated Qatar in the final game to confirm themselves as group winners.

Senegal started the final match day of Group A in third place behind Ecuador, but they leapfrogged the South Americans with a 2-1 victory to secure the runners-up spot after an underwhelming start against the Netherlands

In group, B England finished first in a potentially awkward-looking Group B, with their seven points arriving courtesy of dominant wins against Iran and Wales and a lacklustre draw with an impressive U.S.A tteam

The USA joined the Three Lions in the next round after beating Iran 1-0 in a winner-takes-all showdown on match day tthree

Group D leaders France became the first team to book their place in the round of 16 with wins over Australia and Denmark, finishing top of the group despite losing to Tunisia in their final ggame

Australia caused a huge upset in Group D by beating the much-fancied Danes to secure just their second-ever appearance in the knock-out stages, having beaten Tunisia in their previous ggame

Fans favourites Brazil has eased into the next round with a perfect six points from six picked up from matches against Serbia and Switzerland.

Portugal is safely through to the last 16 after navigating their way to six points from six with victories over Ghana and Uruguay.
