Nigerian singer Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, known as Qing Madi, has revealed that her mother played a crucial role in launching her music career.
In a recent episode of Hip TV’s “Trending” with reality star KimOprah, the 17-year-old singer credited her mom for discovering her talent and encouraging her to pursue music professionally.

“I didn’t realize I could sing; my mom did. She was very forward with my career when I wasn’t passionate about it,” Qing Madi explained. “She wanted it more than I did. I wanted to be a lot of things, but not an artist.”
Qing Madi rose to fame with her 2022 single “See Finish” and its 2023 follow-up “Ole,” featuring BNXN, both of which went viral on TikTok.
