Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum emphasized the significance of securing a spot at the 2024 Olympic Games to his players.
After a 16-year absence from the Olympics, the nine-time African champions are determined to make a comeback.
In the first leg of the final qualifying round fixture, Waldrum’s team emerged victorious with a 1-0 win against South Africa last Friday.

The two teams are set to face off again in the reverse fixture at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday. The overall winners of the fixture will earn a spot at Paris 2024.
“We will go into the match the same way, we will be confident,” Waldrum said ahead of the game.
“Our players know what’s at stake and I feel confident in our players that they will go and get the result.”
