Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has confidently described himself as a very good player.
Brought in by manager Erik ten Hag from Serie A side Atalanta last summer, Hojlund has become the club’s first-choice striker this season. He has scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 40 games, though he is currently experiencing a rough patch.
Former Manchester United star Gary Neville recently remarked that Hojlund might never reach the elite level of Premier League strikers like Sergio Aguero or Erling Haaland. Neville suggested that scoring 20 goals in a season would be Hojlund’s ceiling and that he would be better suited as a backup to a more experienced striker.

Despite these critiques, Rasmus Hojlund stated that he no longer pays attention to others’ opinions and remains confident in his abilities.
“Manchester United is so big, the Premier League is so huge… people are obviously more focused on you than before,” he told ThymPinon for Ballon d’Or.
“It was hard at the beginning. Now, I am much calmer, I no longer worry too much about what is said.
“I know that I am a good player and that if I get chances, I will score a lot of goals.”
