RCCG: I’m Grateful To Be With the Brethren – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP has stated that he got a warm reception at the Holy Ghost Service of the 70th convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The PUNCH reports that the former Anambra State governor got a rousing welcome on Friday at Pastor Enoch Adeboye-led RCCG convention.

The programme, with the theme, “Perfect Jubilee” began on Monday, August 8, and will last through Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Obi attended the fifth day of the convention at RCCG international headquarters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

He was introduced along with other dignitaries, including the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Wale-Oke; Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel; and the wife of Ogun State Governor, Bamidele Abiodun; among others.

Obi, commenting on the reception on his Twitter page on Saturday evening, explained he was humbled by worshippers at the RCCG.

He said.
Sharing moments of true worship last night with a great congregation at the RCCG Convention was a special experience of joy, strength and love for me.

I was humbled by the warm welcome, but above all, I am grateful for the opportunity to be in the midst of the brethren. -PO.”
