Social media users have reacted after Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, announced his separation from his wife, Elsie after 12 years.
The comic star made the announcement on his official Instagram page on Thursday, saying the decision to part ways with his wife is difficult for them but unavoidable.
According to Basketmouth, the children’s welfare and upkeep will remain their priority despite their separation.

He then urged the public to respect their privacy as they navigate through their difficult times.
Basketmouth and Elsie Uzoma Okpocha tied the knot in 2010. The union produced three children, Janelle, Jason, and Maya Okpocha.
The comedian’s post sparked reactions online while some netizens expressed disbelief over the news others claimed celebrity marriage crashes have been on the increase this year.
