Real Madrid attempt to appeal Jude Bellingham’s two-match ban has been unsuccessful, as the Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee upheld the decision.
As a result, Bellingham, currently La Liga’s top scorer with 16 goals, will be sidelined for Real Madrid upcoming league fixtures against Celta Vigo on Sunday and Osasuna on March 16.
The ban stemmed from Bellingham’s red card during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Valencia, where he protested the referee’s decision to blow the final whistle just moments before Bellingham scored a potential late winner.

According to the referee’s report, Bellingham’s behavior was deemed aggressive, with repeated shouts of “It’s a f—ing goal” contributing to his dismissal.
Bellingham has publicly criticized the ban, labeling it “a bit ridiculous” and suggesting that his status as a newcomer to the league may have influenced the decision, claiming, “because I’m new, they want to make an example of me.”
