Chelsea and Real Madrid have agreed to Kepa Arrizabalaga’s loan deal, with the Spanish goalkeeper choosing to join Real Madrid over Bayern Munich.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea and Real Madrid have successfully finalized the loan deal for 28-year-old goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa’s decision to reject Bayern Munich in favour of returning to Spain led to this loan arrangement between Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Due to Thibaut Courtois’ ACL injury just before the season’s commencement, Real Madrid needed to explore options in the goalkeeper market.

Thibaut Courtois’ injury will keep him sidelined for the entire season, prompting Carlo Ancelotti to seek additional goalkeeper choices.
