Jude Bellingham, a player for Real Madrid, has been handed a two-match suspension following his altercation with the referee during the game against Valencia.
The incident occurred when the England international expressed his frustration after the referee, Gil Manzano, did not award a goal immediately after the final whistle was blown on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Bellingham argued that the whistle was blown while the ball was still in the air, and the goal should have been counted.
In his official referee report, Manzano stated that he issued the red card to Jude Bellingham because the player approached him aggressively, shouting repeatedly, “It’s f**king goal!”

The match itself saw Valencia take the lead in the first half through Hugo Duro’s reaction header, followed by Roman Yaremchuk’s goal after intercepting a wayward back pass from Dani Carvajal, putting the visiting side at a 2-0 disadvantage.
Real Madrid managed to pull one back just before halftime thanks to Vinícius Jr., who scored his ninth league goal of the season with a close-range header. The Galacticos continued to push for an equalizer in the second half, but ultimately fell short.
