Dati Baba-Ahmed has stated that Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 elections is capable to meet Nigeria’s needs which was why he accepted to be his running mate.
Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed was announced as the LP vice-presidential candidate in Abuja on Friday.
While giving his speech after the announcement, Baba-Ahmed said he “believes in Mr Obi’s capacity to make Nigeria live up to its billing.”

He added that he also trusts Obi would not mismanage the nation’s wealth, citing the Obi’s outing as Anambra governor as credence to that.
This came after the resignation of Dr. Doyin Okupe on Thursday, who was earlier announced as the LP vice-presidential candidate.
Okupe’s name was submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as a placeholder to beat the submission deadline in June.
